Mastercard, is a company that provides services on credit card systems. Infrastructure (hardware and software) works together with IBM. In 2018, they made a 5-year contract with VBT for the transition from the VSE operating system to the zOS operating system and for the support of the system software after the transition. In 2020, Mastercard sold this operation to Paycore. Paycore company now owns the business. IBM provides hardware and software. The service part has been entrusted to VBT.
Within the scope of the contract, VBT will manage all Mainframe systems of Paycore 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, establish the necessary installations, monitor the systems, process their maintenance, take data backups, provide disaster center management, and manage the automation of systems and batch work mechanisms. It will also serve system operation and software support. Establishing the products of IBM and BMC Software companies, processing their patches and managing the storage systems will also be under the responsibility of VBT Software. These systems supported by VBT are systems in which Paycore's most critical systems operate, where credit card approvals are issued, IBM's CICS subsystems are running, and the annual rate of continuous online stay must be 99.99%. The contract will last until March 2023.
